This week on Inspired Edinburgh we have Kevin McMahon.

Kevin, better known by stage name Kevin Quantum, is a magician-scientist hybrid.

In 2005 he paused his Physics PhD to take part in the Channel 4 television programme ‘Faking It’, which showed his journey from scientist to professional magician and was watched by more than 6 million people.

He is a member of The Magic Circle, Founder of Magicfest, has had 5-star sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, appeared in BBC documentaries, consulted for the National Theatre of Scotland, broke a Guinness World Record, was the first magician to perform at the Globe Theatre in London and was nominated for the Scottish Comedy Awards 2014 and 2015.

He’s also one of the very few people that counts quantum physics as a hobby!
